Agent Hatfield’s Journey Coming to An End
To my friends and colleagues at Best Buy…
Today I submitted my notice of voluntary separation at Store 390. I have been offered a position with Richland County Children Services Board, which I have accepted.
However, as exciting as this decision is, it does not come without some regret and sorrow. I have made so many friends at Best Buy. I have been treated with complete respect, kindness, and consequently, have made many wonderful memories. I have learned a tremendous deal from so many. I believe that people come into your lives for a reason, and I am grateful for the gift of friendship I have received from all of you. Thank You.
As with many things in my life lately, change never seems to rest. This will be the third summer I have drastically changed directions, and although the idea of having to “start over” with Richland County Children Services Board fills me with both excitement and anxiety, this is an opportunity too good to pass up.
A fellow agent of the GeekSquad told me tonight that good agents do not resign, they simply go into “Sleeper Status.” I believe this is true of Agent Hatfield, as GeekSquad has become a much a part of who I am as I believe I have become a part of it.
Again, to all those friends and dear colleagues…. for the past year: thank you.
